Inside the Labyrinth

This is a brief description of a meditation that I did on 31st July 2018 after using some oracle cards on sacred sites. The card that I was drawn to was the Labyrinth at Knossos and the description said to do a meditation on the card.

As I went into my meditation I was immediately at Knossos and then flew straight into the labyrinth. I looked around and saw a small boy sat on the floor not wanting to move. As I looked closer and tried to get him to get up and to go and look through the labyrinth I saw that it was me and this is why I needed to come to the labyrinth so that I could get myself moving again.

As I walked around I saw that the walls were like silk sheets and could easily be moved. I walked through the silk sheets and around the left hand side of the labyrinth (I felt that it represented the left side of the brain – masculine structured side) and could go in any direction that I wanted and not necessarily staying to the path. I looked around for a while but there was nothing here for me to see.

After a while I noticed that I was not going into the right hand side of the labyrinth (right side of the brain – feminine creative side) so started to walk that way. As I went to the right I met with the Minotaur. He was stood there and asked what I wanted. I offered him my respect and saw him as who he was and I said that I didn’t really know but wanted to see all of the labyrinth. He said that it was vast and I got onto his back and he charged off into the labyrinth. We went further and further through it and I asked him what was in there and he said that he didn’t know as he had never been through all of the labyrinth, his job usually was to stop people going through it.

We continued until we came to a dark room and could not see all that was in there. The Minotaur got out a snake and the snake grew and then sprayed light around the room so that we could see alcoves in the walls of the circular room. I walked to the first alcove with the Minotaur walking behind me. When I got there I could see Ganesh sitting there. He got up and welcomed me and said to go and look in all of the alcoves.

I went to the next alcove and there was the Creator/God and they were initially bright light and was again welcoming to us both. They held out a large shell with water in it and said for us both to have a drink to quench our thirst while we were looking around on our journey. There were other things that they told/showed me but I cannot recall them now I am back here. I suppose they will come to me when the time is right.

I went to the next alcove and there was a small girl there and she came up to me and put a watch onto my left wrist and I thought “I don’t wear watches” and as she held the watch there it sunk into my wrist and into me. She said that it was so that I would always know the right time to do what needed to be done. As she walked away I said “thank you Athena” and she turned and smiled at me knowing her name.

I went to the next alcove and there was a guy stood leaning against the wall dressed in a smart white shirt and black trousers and looked quite casual leaning against the wall. He explained that he worked with the Creator and his job was to keep some order in the underworld/otherworld so that there was some separation between the living and the dead as it would be very confusing and difficult to manage if all of the living could see all of the dead at all times and interact fully.

He explained that he “always got bad press” and was reffered to as the devil and depicted as he was as most people were afraid and uncertain of what happens in the underworld/otherworld and those that were there didn’t always like him because of the rules that were in place. He explained to me how the interaction between the realms worked and the rules/restrictions that are currently in place. He is a very precise man and knows all of the details.

After meeting both of these it became clear that the creator was feminine and the one we call the devil was masculine. Light/dark, feminine/masculine, creativity/structure, yin/yang, left/right hemisphere of our brain etc.

I went to the next alcove and stood there was a massive gorilla and he said that he was representing all of nature, animals, birds, trees etc and that is how I mainly work but it did not restrict me to just working with them, it was my link and grounding.

Sitting in the next alcove was the fool (as in tarot) and it was also me. He said that I should now get going on the next phase of my journey as it was time.

These were all the alcoves that were showing and I realised that this was all that I was to see at this visit. I asked the Minotaur if he would show me back but as I did that I became a hawk and flew back to this world and to this time.
