A Morning Walk

A morning walk along the beach, a walk to places hard to reach, Over rocks and over stone along the beach away from home.
Across the mud and over a stream with each breath we breath out steam, The snow has fallen on the ground and patches of white lay all around.
The wind and cold they catch our breath wrapped up warm so don’t catch our death, As we scramble up the cliff we spy a tree all bent and stiff.
A tree that’s stood upon the ground and defied the wind that’s all around, Bent and twisted over the years from constant wind without shedding tears.
It bends and moves with each gust but holds its ground amongst the dust, We take some hope from this small tree in life we are all that we can be.
Hold your ground in all you do even if the wind keeps blowing at you.
