Welcoming Winter

When winter comes it will be time to cleanse the lands ready for the new year’s growth,
The wolf howls in the moonlight to welcome the new cleansing,
She is old and wise and can smell the change in the world,
She is strong and wants the change to happen so she can bring forth new life in the spring,
She knows things will change and some things will stay the same but does not hold onto that fact,
She moves with the earth and rejoices with the new moon,
Soon enough spring will come and new life will be bounding forth,
Her job will be complete and will also begin again. 
The ‘wheel of life’ goes around and all things of nature go forth with the wheel.

How sad it is that since inventing the wheel humans seem to have forgotten how to move forward with the ‘wheel of life’.
